Service Description
Laura Hamblin Aesthetics has a wide range of medical-grade devices that enable us to deliver safe and effective acne treatments with clinically proven results. Acne is a very common skin condition that affects 95% of teenagers and adults to some extent over the course of their lifetime. Acne is commonly triggered by hormonal changes. In response, the sebaceous gland (found in the hair follicle) produces too much oil, or ‘sebum’, which captures dead skin, debris and, in turn, clogs up the follicles. Bacteria builds up in the sebaceous (oil-producing) gland which travels up the hair follicle and out to the skin’s surface, this results in blackheads, whiteheads, red or pus-filled spots, and inflamed skin. Acne is easily recognised by the appearance of the spots on the face, neck, chest, or back. Almost everyone can be treated, apart from very dark skinned or tanned individuals. If you are pregnant or taking Roaccutane (an acne medication) it is best not to undergo laser or Intense Pulsed Light treatment. A layer of chilled gel is applied to the skin to help guide the light. The light guide is placed onto the skin and a short pulse of light is released. The applicator is passed over the skin several times before moving onto the neighbouring area, and the process is repeated until the whole area is treated. Each pulse of light treats a large area of skin and so the duration of the treatment is very short. The gel is removed and the skin is moisturised. During treatment protective eye wear will be provided. The light emitted from the Intense Pulsed Light system directly targets overactive sebaceous glands, greatly reducing the total number and severity of active lesions, and lessening the inflammation and occurrence of break-outs. The light stimulates the production of new collagen to improve skin texture, and can also reduce the appearance of red or brown areas of skin that are often associated with acne breakouts. The number of treatments necessary varies from person to person, but typically 6 Intense Pulsed Light and 6 exfoliating treatments will result in a significant improvement.
Cancellation Policy
APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION We Kindly request a deposit for all appointments. We operate a 48 hour cancellation policy. We reserve the right to charge the full amount of treatment if client does not show up or not enough notice is provided. This deposit is used towards the cost of treatment on the day. Should you wish to cancel your appointment outside of 48 hours you will be able to do so with no penalty. COVID-19 PANDEMIC DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY We have a strict non-refundable 48 hour notice cancellation policy. If you reschedule, cancel or cannot make your appointment within the 48 hour notice period you will lose your deposit and you will be required to pay another deposit to rebook. If it is outside the 48 hour notice period you will not lose your deposit and it can be used to reschedule another appointment or refunded back to you in 5 working days. If you reschedule, cancel or cannot make your appointment for Covid-19 related issues, we will require you to send an email you would have received from the track and trace app asking you to self isolate. Once received you will be able to reschedule your appointment without loss of deposit. Failure to do so will result in you losing your deposit. If your Covid-19 related issue is outside of the 48 hour notice period you will not lose your deposit and it can be used to reschedule another appointment or refunded back to you in 5 working days. If we feel the clinic has to close for Covid-19 related issues then we will hold your deposit for future appointments. APPOINTMENT LATENESS POLICY We DO NOT tolerate lateness. If you arrive to any appointment more than 10 minutes late we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and your deposit will be lost. Any future appointments you wish to make will require a further deposit payment. I understand that by paying a deposit to Laura Hamblin Aesthetics, I am bound to these terms and conditions. Attending my appointment more than 10 minutes late from the time scheduled will mean that Feels Natural Aesthetics have no obligation to rebook me on the same day or refund any money given. TREATMENT COURSES Treatment courses are non- refundable, however balances for outstanding treatments in some cases may be transferred to alternative aesthetic treatments. If a service for whatever reason stops and there is outstanding treatment, we will ONLY issue the remaining CREDIT to be used for alternative services within our clinic. NO refund will given in physical cash or bank transfer. Please speak to our Clinic manager regarding this.
