Service Description
What is Lynton IPL? Lynton IPL (Intense Pulse Light) treatments utilise the power of light energy in specific wavelengths to effectively target melanin and haemoglobin in the skin to treat pigmentation and vascular lesions. What skin conditions/issues does Lynton IPL treat? Treatment with Lynton IPL can provide long-term results to facial problems such as thread veins, rosacea, spider veins, cherry spots, sun spots, freckles and other vascular and pigmented lesions on the face and body. What happens during a Lynton IPL treatment? Customised energy selections are made based on the treatment and skin colour. Cool gel is applied to the treatment area and then short pulses of light are released through the IPL hand piece on to the skin. The light is turned to heat and absorbed by the melanin and haemoglobin on the surface of the skin, heating pigmentation and superficial blood vessels to a point where they are destroyed. The hand piece is moved around the treatment area and the process is repeated. Protective eye goggles are worn during the treatment. Is a Lynton IPL treatment painful? Most people describe the discomfort as tolerable, like the flick of an elastic band or a very quick, hot pin prick. No anaesthesia is required and the skin is cooled before and after treatment. How many Lynton IPL treatments are required for great results? Typically 1-3 treatments are needed for pigmentation and 3-5 treatments are needed for vascular lesions for required for optimal results. However, small lesions may clear in just a single session. What skin conditions/issues does Lynton IPL treat? Treatment with Lynton IPL can provide long-term results to facial problems such as: Thread veins, rosacea Spider veins Cherry spots Sun spots Freckles Other vascular and pigmented lesions on the face and body. What is the recovery time following a Lynton IPL treatment? After treatment the skin may feel hot and tingly and appear red and raised. Pigmentation will darken or form 'micro-crusts' before flaking off, leading to a more even skin tone. Depending on the treatment, swelling or bruising may occur. This can last from 1-2 days to 1-2 weeks, depending on the treatment and area. Thread veins and vascular lesions may darken before the hemoglobin is then absorbed into the skin.
Cancellation Policy
APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION We Kindly request a deposit for all appointments. We operate a 48 hour cancellation policy. We reserve the right to charge the full amount of treatment if client does not show up or not enough notice is provided. This deposit is used towards the cost of treatment on the day. Should you wish to cancel your appointment outside of 48 hours you will be able to do so with no penalty. COVID-19 PANDEMIC DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY We have a strict non-refundable 48 hour notice cancellation policy. If you reschedule, cancel or cannot make your appointment within the 48 hour notice period you will lose your deposit and you will be required to pay another deposit to rebook. If it is outside the 48 hour notice period you will not lose your deposit and it can be used to reschedule another appointment or refunded back to you in 5 working days. If you reschedule, cancel or cannot make your appointment for Covid-19 related issues, we will require you to send an email you would have received from the track and trace app asking you to self isolate. Once received you will be able to reschedule your appointment without loss of deposit. Failure to do so will result in you losing your deposit. If your Covid-19 related issue is outside of the 48 hour notice period you will not lose your deposit and it can be used to reschedule another appointment or refunded back to you in 5 working days. If we feel the clinic has to close for Covid-19 related issues then we will hold your deposit for future appointments. APPOINTMENT LATENESS POLICY We DO NOT tolerate lateness. If you arrive to any appointment more than 10 minutes late we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and your deposit will be lost. Any future appointments you wish to make will require a further deposit payment. I understand that by paying a deposit to Laura Hamblin Aesthetics, I am bound to these terms and conditions. Attending my appointment more than 10 minutes late from the time scheduled will mean that Feels Natural Aesthetics have no obligation to rebook me on the same day or refund any money given. TREATMENT COURSES Treatment courses are non- refundable, however balances for outstanding treatments in some cases may be transferred to alternative aesthetic treatments. If a service for whatever reason stops and there is outstanding treatment, we will ONLY issue the remaining CREDIT to be used for alternative services within our clinic. NO refund will given in physical cash or bank transfer. Please speak to our Clinic manager regarding this.
